But don’t worry, the barrel planter will still last a long time since it’s made from white oak, which is rot resistant. Metal hoops will be secured so they don’t slip off as the barrel dries. The color of the barrel could range from a light-colored barrel to almost black in color. The weather will change all barrels to more of a gray color overtime.
